Project Description
To continuously carry out the cultural diplomacy and to enhance the cultural interactions between Taiwan and Asia-Pacific countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been hosting the Asia-Pacific Culture Day annually. Its goal is to boost the friendship with the participating countries and to expand the vision and international outlook of the people of Taiwan through designed programs that included the display of music, dance, art, and culinary from these countries.
Through theme development, visual and venue design, event planning, and media promotion, Interplan successfully delivered the 2016 Asia-Pacific Culture Day at the Taipei Main Station. 20 countries were invited to participate, namely Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Australia, Brunei, Fiji, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Visitors were encouraged to interact and experience the art and cultures from different countries. Through the event, they also gained the knowledge and understanding of each Asia-Pacific country. As a result, the awareness and engagement of the event increased along with the visitor count.
