In 2013 “Taiwan Fun on the Tropic of Cancer “was launched by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau as an international summer holiday. This holiday runs through the central and southern part of Taiwan where advantages of living in tropical and subtropical areas can be felt. In addition, to creating a new tourism highlight for Taiwan’s central and southern regions. Interplan (formerly Uniplan Taiwan) hosted this summer event continuously from 2013- 2014. Due to the mass marketing through social media, internet, print media, outdoor media coverage, as well as other PR strategies, it attracted more than 30 companies from different industries and sponsorships from corporations to partake the summer event. Also, close to 100 television exposures, media coverages, and approximately 500 internet shared posts covered made this event phenomenal. The commercial effect was unbelievable and promoted local economic growth and created further tourism value for the brand.
